hello, should I say sorry again to myself?
to be frank, NO.... let's not be kidding. been extremely busy with the listing exercise!
tried to change, rather postpone the assignment submission deadline... but decided not to. & guess what? just submitted the assignment just now! been doing that for the last two weekend.... yesss, I have for once changed - not doing assignment at the very last minute.
today is our 1st day of Aidilfitri = Eid Mubarak. well, no need to "fast" except that I need to replace one day of fasting though.
in JB now, @ my wife's grandma's hse...... things don't change at all here in JB!!!! everything moves at the slowest pace you could ever imagine!
the last time I was here 2 years ago - same thing, nothing interesting during this festive period.....
one thing for sure, things are very expensive here!
my dear wife (just in case you are reading this).... well, sorry to write this on.... you guys don't change?!!!! the aunties are... ok, I guess. but the uncles!!!! they changed for the worst! I thought I was trying hard to make conversation with that uncle of yours... but he was.... errrrr. then again, why am I expecting them to change (for the better)??? natural what, I thought things ought to change, as you get older, wiser, with kids etc...
but on a good note, glad to see your auntie (that 1st one, librarian, sorry forgot her name) & auntie Meng & auntie Eda are around at the same time with your mum!..... & stop laughing out loud - you guys don't change!
gotta go out now, pls! gotta find myself a cup of coffee (this house does not change for not having even coffee around???). sorry, I am what I am, need that does of caffien (wrong spelling, sorry).
chow..

missed couple of weeks already - been extremely busy with the Company's proposed listing exercise - but that's not a good excuse right?
remember my spouse's predicament on the impneding change @ her company? to cut a long story (believe me, it's a long story there) short - the change is evitable (let's not consider why it became evitable.. as there should not be one at the first place!) but the manner in which the big boss (let's call him BB) tries to win the heart of the entire staff is such a failure!
I guess, BB ought to attend any change management classroom?! Even for me, looking for the outside - feels so "funny" looking at BB trying very hard to vow his staff behind him.
BB didn't look "pretendious" though, but BB was (& is still is) very artificial - nother point probably because the earlier-BB was (& is still is) very honest-sincere-looking.
It's not my call here to judge the change in which other people is trying to do. But in that particular case - it's not going anywhere. Presumably BB did all the analysis, plan etc to proceed with his change plan - but I guess, he fails to change himself to lead the change?
cheers....

ehhh.. how come the date & time posted herewith are all over the place?
Now should be Saturday 6th Sept 2008, around 6.40am Malaysian Time.... should apply for my last 2 posts as well.........
probably setting mode? I thought my IT staff have aligned my notebook time already? but on this mode, it says down the panel here "Draft autosaved at 6:41 AM" & why when it's differently posted?
I'm upset!

Morning,
Don’t be surprised – I am not initiating a change for writing my blog at this wee hour, early morning! This is our muslim’s fasting month whereby we would fast, that’s without food & drink (not even a sip) from dusk to dawn. That means we would have a very late supper just before dusk & would break the fast at dawn.
In a way, I am good for this change, at least for a month – been fasting for 5 days already, 24 days to go. Just for your curiosity, we fast to renew our continuous faith in our religion. To give our body/system a rest, overhaul I guess. What’s important is to realize & experience how would other least fortunate people feel without having proper abundance food. For sure, you would appreciate this minor sacrifice.
Fasting is also not just refraining from eating or drinking, but also to do a lot more good deeds, either by action or even through your thoughts. I am no preacher here, but in lay terms, you ought not to swear, scold people, have bad thoughts etc etc etc……
Truthfully, we (yes, that’s me too) feel more calm, passionate etc during this good fasting month.
Change wise:-
Though I still sleep a lot, but I would wake up for the late supper & guess what, I would stay awake till morning – writing this blog. For the couple of mornings, been doing my never-ending work anyway. Then, straight to work.
I have been reducing my smoking! Instead of buying 20 sticks, which would normally last for 2 days – I get to buy a 14-stick box lasting for 5 days!
What I ought to improve on (been promising to do every year) is to regularly visit my local prayer-place (called surau, mosque is the bigger one, surau is more localized) for routine fasting-month optional prayers after breaking fast. This year, out of the 5 days, only been once – that’s because all of us were back @ my home town over the last weekend….. (that’s why I missed writing this blog last weekend!) & been “forced” by my parents to go to the mosque back home.
Well, my argument is that, this is an optional thing – but this is no excuse, I should be doing that!
Talking about going back home town – we drove (my family with my parents) simply because had to send back my parent’s car. Returning back – we took Air Asia flight, Airbus A320 if I’m not mistaken – same range as MAS Boeing 737.. very refreshing though as the plane is new (compared to MAS). Nice, comfy black leather seat. What’s more important is the sound of its engine, during take-off, landing – pretty smooth. Same thing like you are riding in a brand new car vs. pretty 14-year old car something like that.
But, a BIG BUT – things still don’t change! The last time I took Air Asia flight was probably back in 2003/2004 from KL to Kuching (capital state of Sarawak, on the island of Borneo – is that a big island?) to attend my cousin’s wedding….. because it is a low-cost-carrier (LCC), passengers are like pushing & shuffling, wanting to get first onto the plane! No respect for the elders, those with kids etc! Ok ok ok that they introduced this Priority Passenger line (where you have to pay!) but guess what? There are only 3 passengers on that list! The rest (100+) are on a very disoriented queue line! I had to shout to discourage passenger from pushing & keeping to the queue line!
The system is there – but from 2003 till now, the staff never learnt. They have to take control of the system. If you expect those passengers (I have to say this – what more can you expect for those LCC passengers, excited about flying?) to toe the line, no way! Just like our drivers on the road!
Notwithstanding, let me give some compliments to them, the LCC. Nice, upgraded LCC terminal in KLIA though. With covered walkways, once you alighted from the plane itself. The terminal is being upgraded. A lot of people/passengers though! That must a good sign, hopefully. With oil prices currently at around $115 a barrel – that should be manageable I guess compared with $150…. Well, don’t start comparing with $50! I wonder what’s their max bearable level?
Almost 6.30am already. Very sleepy, I have to admit. Well, it’s a Saturday, no work – but have to send my daughter for her replacement class… by 7.15am I guess??? Gotta go to the market – fish, meat, poultry etc in the hypermarket nowadays are @#$%$^&*!!!!! Vegetables are worst! Are they reaping me off or what?! Now I have to bring my wife to the market very early, on a Saturday morning (which I could have spent sleeping my morning off!)…..
Change for the better or what?
“Selamat Berpuasa”….. (happy fasting to all!)
p/s due to un-stableness of my Maxis 3G line, instead of writing this straight onto the blog – I had been composing in Words & to cut & paste this onto my blog.
cheers!

reminder
before i forget - better register the following topics (which i need to blogg on):-
- wife's experience in her management-change issues recently
- that weekend wedding @ FELDA hall (forgot the actual name) - how things don't change at all over the last donkey years!
- changes @ JB office - transfer to RA & replaced by new, RS
- coming by-election..... any change whatsoever?
My second day
pathetic! promised myself to blog a week ago - it has been 2 weeks since my 1st day of blogging. guess "changing" myself to blogging is not that happening. after all, i'm facing the real test of change myself!
i remember watching "House" last week when dr house refused to accept that his (only) friend - forgot that doc's name!" has been changed by seeing someone. if i recall correctly, dr house literally said "people don't change". cut the story short, he finally conceeded that his friend was changed by that new girlfriend of his - whilst maintaining that his friend still, had not changed - rather be changed by someone. well - one thing soesn't change though - dr house himself.
i was (then) itching to blog about this.... at least, i got to do it after all.
had a round of golf this morning - after a 2-week absence. for sure - i still have not changed when it comes to golf!!!! been very inconsistent where i started off with an extremely poor first nine, getting only 9 pts (out of a par-18 pts stableford scoring) i.e. 5 blown holes whilst losing one sleeve of balls..... but scored 22pts in the back nine. scoring wise = 56 + 42= 98. &%$#@!!!
been promising myself to start playing serious golf - but that word again - change, change, change (i sure hope that there's no one in this www would for no apparent reason, google for the word change?!. so, why? why is it not easy to change yourself? so, can you imagine having task(s) to initiate change?
its not the system, nor the mambo-jumbo of those change-school-of-thoughts - one simple truth = people! gotta really manage this issue vis-a-vis others! & to be fair - start with you yourself!
can i offer a really, really good excuse for not updating my bolg over the last 2 weeks? been terribly caught up with work of late. i have this impending funding matters (a lot of those!), then the EGM, the financial advisors bla bla bla. am i not dividing my time accordingly? big no!
life's too hectic i would say!
it's been late, almost 1am. kids are flat already since 10pm just now & my wife (yeah, my wife - you try to comment picking on the wife again!??) is probably dreaming about going shopping by now! she did help me to spell my 1st word herewith - pathetic, though!
time to sign off my friend........ for those who happen to read this blogg of mine - 1) go play golf so as you can understand what i wrote earlier on & 2) change-"lah"!!!??
p/s have not really, realy started on my change-project yet though! howeeverrrrrr - did manage to "test water' couple of days - & the test result? = people don't change! so how????? guess i better rephrase that = people don't just simple change.... they need to be changed!? no matter how you interprate that - for certain, i have to do something about it!
adios & selamat malam - gotta wake up early tmow morning - rather next morning, which happens to be SUNDAY - work work work!

My first day
pretty obvious - this is not just my 1st day - but my 1st ever attempt in blogging! if not for this uem's LOC (& subsequent modules hereafter) - guess I won't be blogging at all.
am I offering many thanks to uem for making me doing this? well, it's part of the learning process I guess.
To qualify - in the event I happen to love doing this - hip hip hurray!...
better stick to the main reason why am I doing this then - to register my blog in meeting the course's requirement, ok?
what have you learnt today, mr blogger?
I know of the existence of such "Change" issues - just that I couldn't be bothered looking at it. Given the many choices prompted by the group - I purposely chose to attend LOC 1st compared to VOL, BSL etc!
Why such a buddy-buddy excuse? On a serious note - I have this serious issue when it comes to "Change" as I've got this exercise to do - refer my t0-d0-assignment!
Guess I've made a good choice by opting for LOC 1st then the others. Really, really looking forward (not on this assignment nor blog thingie) to getting over & done with, with the Change project..........
ok - enough for my 1st day of blogging... got to pick my dear wife.
my next, immediate target or rather challenge - to blog again this weekend..... & blog on something relevant, pls!
cheers
